Missionary Journey of St. Paul

DAY 1: ANTALYA
Flights to Antalya. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Antalya.

DAY 2 : ANTALYA – KUSADASI
Early morning we drive to Kusadasi. On the way visit one of the most important archaeological sites in Turkey, Aphrodisias. It is the center of the ancient sculptors had. From here you exported the finest marble sculptures from all corners of the ancient world. They intend to visit the tetrapylon, stadium, Hadrian's Baths and the Theater. Two nights accommodation in Kusadasi.

DAY 3: KUSADASI
After breakfast we drive to Ephesus (Apg.18, 19-24, 19, 20,16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:32; 16.8; Ephesians letter, 1 Timothy 1:3; 2 Timothy 1, 18; 4:12; Rev. 1.11, 2.1, 3.Ökumenische council meeting), one of the most important archaeological sites of the Greco-Roman era. Here we visit the beautifully preserved marble streets, the Celsus Library, the theater and the agora. Then visit the Basilica of St. John to the tomb of the apostle John and a visit to Marienhausen on the Nightingale hill for devotions. Overnight in Kusadasi.

DAY 4: KUSADASI - PAMUKKALE
Early morning we drive to Miletus (Acts 20.15, 20:17, 2 Timothy 4:20;). Here we see the big theater, the baths and the harbor. The Market Gate of Miletus is also in Berlin at the Pergamon Museum. The sons of the city are major Thales, Anaximander, Anaximenes and Hippodamus. Then we drive through the fertile Meander plain to Pamukkale. Natural wonders of Pamukkale is a highlight of the trip. Snow-white calcium formations were created over millennia by the artistic hand of nature. Your cascades (UNESCO natural sight act) like frozen waterfalls. Besides Pamukkale is the Hellenistic Roman city of Hierapolis (Col. 3:14), the development of the curative waters of Pamukkale current beneficiary. A church was built in the Byzantine period in Hierapolis exactly at the spot where St. Philip was stoned. The ruins of the church we see today among the other attractions such as the vast necropolis, the great theater and great bathing. The Church Father Papias of Hierapolis worked here.

DAY 5: PAMUKKALE – KONYA
In the morning we visit a typical carpet, where we will enjoy the colorful world of carpets. Then we will head to Antioch in Pisidia (Acts 13,14-50; 2 Timothy 3:11), where the Apostle Paul gave his famous speech at the synagogue in the city. Visit the ancient city. Proceed to Konya. This is the route used the apostle Paul on his first missionary journey. Overnight in Konya.

DAY 6: KONYA - ANTALYA
After breakfast we drive to Konya, ancient Iconium (Acts 13.51; 14,1-21; 16.2; 2 Timothy 3:11). In Konya, we visit the Museum of Islamic mystic Mevlana, who founded the Order of the Whirling Dervishes. In this order, the love of God was equated with the love of humanity. Afterwards we will visit the Catholic Church, which was dedicated to St. Paul and St. Thecla. About Taurus mountains with beautiful scenery we drive to Antalya. Two nights in Antalya.

DAY 7: ANTALYA
Today we drive to Perge (Acts 13,13-14; 14.25) that Paul visited on his first missionary journey twice. Here we visit the Agora, the boulevard and the Hellenistic gate, where Paul had entered the city. Then we visit the city of Antalya, which offers many interesting shops. Before we proceed to the hotel, we stop for the old port of Antalya (Acts 14:25), where St. Paul sailed to Antioch.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE
Transfer to airport and flight back to your home country.
